Common questions

Where is my data stored?
On your iPhone, and mirrored to your own private iCloud so it survives a lost phone and follows you to a new one. It goes to your personal Apple Account — not to any server belonging to this app. See the privacy policy.

Do I need an account?
No. There's nothing to sign up for. ListThings uses the Apple Account already on your iPhone.

What if I turn iCloud off?
The app keeps working and stores everything locally on the device. You lose backup and new-phone restore, nothing else.

How do I get my lists onto a new phone?
Sign in to the same Apple Account, install ListThings, and open it. Your lists sync down from your private iCloud automatically. Give it a moment on first launch.

Can I see my lists on a Mac?
Yes, read-only. ListThings writes a web page of your lists to a ListThings folder in your own iCloud Drive, refreshed when the app opens or goes to the background. Open it in any browser. It's for viewing only — edits happen in the app.

How do I delete everything?
Delete the app to remove it from the device. To clear the iCloud copy as well, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, find ListThings, and delete its data.

Something's broken.
Email the address above with your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. That's usually enough to track it down.
